Becoming the best we can

Years 3 and 4

Welcome to Lower Key Stage 2!

The LKS2 class teachers are:

· Mrs. Bonner and Mrs. Smith – Class 6/Starling (Y3)

· Miss Burns – Class 7/Swallow (Y3/4)

· Miss Smith – Class 8/Woodpecker (Y4)

This academic year promises to be filled with engaging and hands-on learning experiences that will spark curiosity and creativity. From exploring ancient Egypt to stepping back in time to the Stone Age, students will dive into a variety of captivating topics designed to make learning both fun and meaningful.

Topics for the year include:

· Frampton and Me

· Egypt

· Stone Age

· A Wonderful World

These topics are not only exciting but also offer a chance for students to explore the world around them in depth. As part of this exploration, students will also have the chance to visit our local church and community, as well as take a scenic walk around Frampton to connect with our first topic, Frampton and Me.

And that’s just the beginning! One of the major highlights this year will be the Y4 trip to Kilve Court. It’s set to be an unforgettable adventure, with outdoor activities, team-building challenges, and plenty of opportunities for personal growth.

In addition to these enriching experiences, we’ll also be bringing history to life with our very own Ancient Egyptian Play! Students will work together to create this fantastic production, contributing to acting, set design, and all the creative magic that brings the ancient world to life. This is a brilliant way for them to develop their confidence, teamwork skills, and creativity.

And if that wasn’t enough, get ready for some musical fun – students will be learning to play the ukulele and mastering some well-known tunes! It’s going to be a year full of exploration, creativity, and unforgettable experiences. We can’t wait to see the wonderful things your child will achieve!
